Our foundation is entirely reliant on volunteers and donations. However, the feedback we get from people who’ve benefited from our work is overwhelming, and so we want to help as many people as possible. Nobody should feel like they’re alone as they begin their cancer treatment.
Below are our aims for the next 12-24 months. If you’d like to get involved and help us with this journey, you can find out more here.
Our priorities:
Raise awareness of the foundation, both through gifting more hampers and increasing donations to help us to expand and reach more people. We also want to create merchandise to generate funds while raising our profile.
As funding increases, we want to develop our relationship with oncology staff, providing literature to increase referrals during chemotherapy pre assessments. First with our local chemotherapy unit based at Cannock Hospital, then with New Cross Hospital (Wolverhampton) and then with St Giles Hospice.
While we slowly expand, we want to increase our ability to distribute hampers, making it easier for recipients. Plus, we’ll make it easier for people wishing to donate products.
To do all the above, we need to develop a network of amazing volunteers, helping us to run the foundation as well as help fundraise, collect donations and distribute hampers.
