Established in 2019, the foundation was created to honour the life of Katherine Allport, who sadly passed away from a rare form of breast cancer at just 32. Her kindness, strength, and spirit continue to inspire everything we do.

Our primary mission is to provide free, personalised Care Hampers to those starting chemotherapy who live in, or are receiving treatment within, Staffordshire. During her own cancer journey, Katherine received thoughtful gifts and pampering products from friends and family. These small gestures brought comfort, lifted her spirits, and reminded her that she was never alone.

Inspired by this, Katherine’s family founded The Katherine Allport Foundation to bring all of these helpful, comforting items together into one carefully curated hamper—designed to support someone right at the beginning of their treatment.

Katherine was a deeply kind and thoughtful person, and it brings great comfort to her family to support others in her name. Each hamper ensures the recipient is “chemo ready,” containing essentials such as moisturisers, anti-sickness bands, blankets, neck pillows, hand sanitiser, and many more useful items chosen with care.

From time to time, we are also able to offer special gifts or days out to families affected by cancer, helping create moments of joy during difficult times.
